Jesus Establishes Immersion Baptism As A Pledge Of Discipleship
And Jesus went to Jericho, and at the inn of Asher He abode. A servant at the inn was sick, near to death – about to die. The healers could not cure her. And Jesus came and touched the dying girl, and said, “Malone, arise!” And in a moment, pain was gone; the fever ceased; the maid was well. And then the people brought their sick, and they were healed.

But Jesus did not tarry long in Jericho. He went down to the Jordan ford where John stay to teach. The multitudes were there and Jesus said to them, “Behold, the time has come; the kingdom is at hand. None but the true in heart can come into the kingdom of the Holy One; but every son and daughter of the human race is called upon to turn from evil and become the pure in heart. The resolution to attain and enter through the Christian gate into the kingdom of the Holy One will constitute discipleship, and every one must make a pledge of his discipleship.

John washed your bodies in the stream, symbolic of the cleansing of the soul, in preparation for the coming of the king, the opening of the Christian gate into the kingdom of the Holy One.

John did a mighty work; but now the Christian gate is opened up, and washing is established as the pledge of your discipleship. This pledge shall be a rite, and shall be called, the Rite of Immersion Baptism, until this age shall close. And it shall be a sign to humanity, and seal to God of the discipleship of humanity – it is the duty of everyone to live, teach, spread and enforce the Gospel of Truth and Salvation.

You humanity of every nation, hear! Come unto me; the Christian gate is opened up; turn from your sins and be baptized by immersion, and you shall enter through the gate and see the king.”

The six disciples who had followed Jesus stood near, and Jesus led them forth and in the Jordan He baptized them in the name of Christ; and then He said to them,
My friends, you are the first to enter through the Christian gate into the kingdom of the Holy One. As I baptized you in the name of Christ, so you shall, in that sacred name, baptize all men and women who will confess their faith in Christ, and shall renounce their sins. Baptize them in the name of the triune but one God – in the name of the Father, the FirstSon and the Holy Spirit.” And, lo, the multitudes came down, renounced the sins, confessed their faith in Christ, and were baptized by immersion.

Explanations

The implication of the immersion baptism is that every baptized Christian is free and qualified to spread the Gospel of Truth and Salvation, in every way possible. The work in the Lord’s vineyard is not for the ministers of God only to do. And in doing the works of God in various ways, people must neither neglect the laws nor break the rites of holiness.

Jesus Christ did not establish another rite of baptism different from the baptism of John. Instead, He made it clear that every baptized person belongs to God, and that the person should make the Kingdom of Heaven manifest and steadfast by teaching, spreading and enforcing the Gospel of Truth and Salvation, which is the only way of truth and salvation, according to the Covenant System Of Worship established by God Almighty, Yahweh, the Lord of the Hosts.

Higher Form Of Baptism

All the apostles, disciples and ordinary members have the works of evangelism to do. When St John De Baptist was conducting immersion baptism, and when Jesus Christ was conducting immersion baptism, the children of God move from power to power, to high spiritual level and power of the Holy Spirit. When John was conducting the baptism, the spiritual levels of those baptized was at 50%. But when Jesus started to baptize, their spiritual level rose to 100%.

Son of man, you remember that the holy book said,

There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

Jesus Christ was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

That was why when the Master came, the children of God move from strength to strength. As John was baptizing, the people receive the powers of the Holy Spirit. But when Jesus started to baptize, the powers of the Holy Spirit became radiant - manifest, functional and rising from one level of perfection to higher levels of perfection.
